The Liphook Bike Ride
We couldn't run this event without the help of all the volunteers ... You know who you are ...
The aim of The Liphook & District Businessmen’s Association [LiDBA] is to be of service to the community, particularly the young and disabled. The Association assists other local charities’ fund raising events as well as raising money for local deserving causes. The LidBA association has been running the charity ride since 1991. They have done an amazing job of the organization and raising funds for the local community which stands at over £1m . I'm sure they will continue to be heavily involved in the running of the event but at the same time I'm sure they deserve a well earned rest ... Thanks LiDBA association you made the ride what it is today. For more information the Lidba council can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org or www.lidba.co.uk
A number of the organisers are members of the social "Liphook Crankers" group. Just a bunch a of like minded cyclist who don their Lycra at any possible opportunity to go and take in the beauty of the local countryside . With a passion for cycling and many of them long standing Liphook residents they stepped in when there was doubt if the ride would continue .
Thanks as ever to everyone who helps us including - Liphook Guides, Liphook Scouts, Petersfield ATC, St John Ambulance, Ben Lawrance for the PA system and loads and loads of unnamed individuals who turn out to help with marshalling the ride and generally helping it to all run smoothly.
