Organisation for this years ride is well underway , As always were still looking for sponsors and volunteers who make this event happen.

As were now close to ride day please check the rider information on our website and facebook page , Arrive in good time , be prepared for all weather conditions ,be careful of road conditions and mindful of other road users . There are potholes on the route !!  The roads are open and subject to the normal rules of the highway code that you must abide by. IT’S NOT A RACE  !

This year sees a change in the way we start the ride. Rather than riders starting in two large groups, riders will leave Bohunt any time between 9:45 and 10:20, walk a short distance up the pavement from Bohunt and then cycle ata gentle pace along Victoria Way and The Firs to the formal start near the Church Centre. The formal start point for the ride will now be as riders join Portsmouth Road from the Firs. This change has been necessitated by a combination of changes made to the road closure rules and our risk assessment -given the increasing traffic levels on our local roads we believe avoiding large groups of riders will reduce the risk of accidents. Please also be aware that there will be fewer marshals along the route (as we are deploying many to ensure you get off to a safe start). The route will be well sign-posted and we suggest you use one of the following to ensure you don’t miss a turn. The ride will finish at Bohunt following the usual route through the square.
